This Argentinean beauty combines sophisticated American, British and Brazilian pop with smooth jazz. Gabriela Anders' brand of silky pop is often compared to Basia and (a less depressive) Sade but her music is actually closer in spirit to Michael Franks and Sting in its mix of commercial savvy and tropical sizzle. Anders has an attractive singing voice and her releases are superior to those by many of her smooth jazz peers but even though she sings in English, so far she's had better luck Spain and Latin America then in the States.
