Gorillaz

Yet another ground-breaking, genre-tweaking effort from visionary super-producer Dan "the Automator" Nakamura. Like his Handsome Boy Modeling School project a few years earlier, the Gorillaz brings together a diverse team of eclectic artists, including Del The Funky Homosapien, Damon Albarn, and Kid Koala. Highly original and very entertaining.

Rather than succumb to the usual solo-project indulgences or chase crass side-project
cash, Blur frontman Damon Albarn has teamed with animator Jamie Hewlett to create
Gorillaz, a prefab cartoon anti-boy-band. The band is made up of the fictional characters
2-D, Murdoc, Russel and Noodle, and their all-encompassing sound comes courtesy of
