Graciela Beltrán

  • Genre: Banda
  • Hometown: Costa Rica, Sinaloa

About

A true talent in a crowded field, Graciela Beltran's vocal skill made itself felt early in life. Born in the small town of Costa Rica in Sinaloa, Mexico, Beltran immigrated with her family to Los Angeles when she was a little girl, and by the time she was six years old she was already singing in public. Her independent releases grabbed major label attention, and her debut for EMI Latin, Baraja de Oro, went platinum. The following release Tesoro cemented her status, tripling sales over her previous releases. A collaboration album, Las Reinas del Pueblo with Selena, was released after Selena's death, which only burnished her star further and famous producers includi! ng Joan Sebastian and Roberto Guadarrama lined up to work with her. She's also recorded duets with acts including Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Grupo Modelo and received nominations for a Latin Grammy and several Premio Lo Nuestro awards.
