Rhapsody

Former Grant Lee Buffalo singer delivers another rich sounding solo album, this time a bit more sparse in the layering. With lush strings accompanying acoustic guitars and a whispery voice, songs like "Calamity Jane" (a ditty about Ms. Fonda) and a tear-jerking take on Gram Parsons' "Hickory Wind" are pure aural nectar.
