An old school squad from Miami, Fla., Gucci Crew II deliver the same bottom-heavy party jams that made South Beach famous. Booty-shaking bass thumps and machine-gun 808s run rampant, served with energetically chanted choruses and scantily clad freaks. They also come with catchy anti-drug rhymes, reshaping Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's "The Message" into a warning against the "five dollar high" (aka crack). The crew released a couple of albums and numerous singles, culminating in their collection The Best of Gucci Crew II (1994).
