Harry Pussy

About

Husband and wife Ben Orcutt and Adris Hoyos formed Harry Pussy in Miami in the early 1990s, taking free jazz, the NYC no wave and British industrial scenes into unknown and unheard of territories of extremity. With various second guitarists, an occasional accordionist and Orcutt playing guitar while Hoyos screamed and intermittently hit drums, Harry Pussy made a caterwauling no-music that has few, if any, equals. On top of the high level of confrontation in their live shows, Harry Pussy further blew minds with the fact that the seemingly random screaming and guitar flailings were anything but improvised. Between 1992 and 1997, the band released eight albums and approximately a dozen seven-inches, for various respected underground labels, Siltbreeze, Black Jack and Esync among them.
