Unlike the title of their 2005 debut suggests, Hot Chip isn't exactly Coming on Strong. Their laid-back electro-hop is yawns and shrugs as much as it thumps and funks -- and stays right cool all along. These remixes of The Warning's first single, the dreamy, drifting "Boy from School," keep things narcotically downtempo; even rising UK big beat star Erol Alkan goes mellow. Three unreleased tracks (including the bubbly, hypnotic "The Bell Ringers") make this maxi-single worth the quid.
