Ink & Dagger

About

Of course they're from Philadelphia. Cloaked in the darkness of night, these vampires foreshadow doom and a sense of the macabre drenched in bloodlust, technological mistrust and urban, dystopian paranoias. Sean Patrick McCabe's foreboding words sink into your consciousness like he's perched on your bedpost, submitting your docile sleeping mind to his seductively bleak visions. He maps out the identities of the undead, predator and prey relationships, the instabilities of emotional terror and rhapsodic pleasures. His vocals accumulate into chants that give you the feeling that you are up against a gang of night stalkers. Don Devore's guitar arrangements are both elegant and brutal as they glide in and pierce your heart with passion and merciless force. Ink & Dagger's ever-changing sounds rise and fall like somnambulistic wandering or the downward strike of a bird of prey.
