When you first saw the cover of this 1981 album, it probably seemed a lot scarier than it does now. Maiden's second LP features Adrian Smith, who brought the band's dueling guitar harmonies to life. But it was the expertly arranged songwriting and fierce falsetto singing that made this album a true heavy metal classic.
