Jack Greene

About

Greene, a multi instrumentalist proficient on guitar and drums got his start working in the band of Ernest Tubb, the Texas Troubadour. It was there that he first gained notice for his smooth crooning style, which contrasted nicely with Tubb's booming croak. He went on to score a string of hits in the late 1960s on his own. His biggest record was "There Goes My Everything", a lush ballad that epitomized the richly layered Nashville sound of the era.
