Jean Redpath

About

Jean Redpath is one of the end-all-be-all translators of traditional Scottish folk songs. Her delicate soprano voice is as light as air, but carries with it the strength of a storm. Since the late 1970s Redpath has lectured on the history and lore of Scottish folk music at Stirling University in Scotland as well as at Harvard and Weslyan University in Connecticut.
