A music industry veteran since the days of Disco, Claussell is recognized as a reputable DJ, producer and remixer, as well as being the owner of New York City record store Dance Tracks, and head of labels Spiritual Life Music and Ibadan Records. The mastermind behind the Sunday club night Body and Soul, Claussell is often grouped with colleagues Kerri Chandler and Jerome Sydenham. As a solo artist, Claussell offers up warm Deep House tracks (mainly sans vocals) that spotlight globally inspired, jazz-inflected melodies as they wave peacefully over a cushion of smooth Afro-centric beats and Brazilian rhythms.
