John Mayer's formula sounds simple: take his parents' favorite artists (James Taylor, Carly Simon, Eric Clapton) and filter them through the killer pop he dug as a teenager (G. Love, Gin Blossoms, Dave Matthews). The results have created a pop star of epic proportions. If you don't live underneath a rock in northern Alaska, then you've surely heard the mega-hits "No Such Thing" and "Your Body Is a Wonderland" a million times each, at least. Scary thing: the rest of the tracks on the album aren't far behind.
