John Mellencamp's Best That I Could Do is a fourteen-song disc chronicling most of this American heartland rocker's hits, including "Pink Houses" and "Jack and Diane." It's the inclusion of early singles "Ain't Even Done With the Night" and "I Need a Lover" that round out this collection, although it's strangely missing singles from Big Daddy (1989).
