Johnny Thunders

About

Thunders' post-Heartbreakers solo work, as captured on a flood of live recordings, is a sad documentation of a great guitar player turning out gems marred by doped-up, drunken playing. When he could pull himself together, Thunders played passionate, emotionally driven rock 'n' roll with stylistic nods to the early '60s.
