Jordin Sparks

American Idol watchers know that 2007 winner Jordin Sparks can master just about any musical style, but it's when she steps out as a soul diva that she really shines. Her self-titled debut is filled with slow- to medium-tempo songs with a pop slant that show off her gorgeous voice. Favorites include "Next to You," "No Air" (featuring Chris Brown) and "One Step At a Time." A few more uptempo tunes would have helped break the album up a bit, but this a strong debut for the newcomer.

Jordin sparks was the perfect American Idol because you could see that she was working
hard, learning new tricks week to week, which suits the Idol massive's fantasy that we're
