Judas Priest may have cleaned up their sound a bit for this 1982 breakthrough, but the move paid off, with a No. 1 hit ("You've Got Another Thing Comin'") and worldwide status as pacesetters for heavy metal. If anything, the cleaner production is a plus for the record, and really, all bets are off with Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing communicating telepathically, as usual. "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" may provide a nostalgic thrill for many, but Priest fans come here for "Electric Eye" and anytime Rob Halford hits that note -- the note that only the one true metal god could hit.
