Keith Jarrett, bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Jack DeJohnette were each legends already when they initially convened for a fresh look at a broad set of jazz standards on a series of albums cut for ECM in 1983. This trio met regularly in the years that followed; 2007 marks their 25th anniversary. My Foolish Heart is a particularly rewarding live set from the 2001 Montreux Jazz Festival. A glorious romp filled with exquisite interplay, the joy they're having together here is palpable and infectious from the get-go on a vibrant run through Miles Davis' "Four."
