Kim Weston

About

Drafted into the Motown army courtesy of a family friend, Kim Weston came to prominence with her duet with Marvin Gaye, “It Takes Two.” Despite a rich voice developed in the the church, Weston never achieved the success her peers received. She recorded a few noteworthy solo records that bear the trademark Holland/Dozier/Holland sound, but Motown saw dollar signs elsewhere.
