Lalo Schifrin

This offers a selection of Schifrin's forward-thinking piano playing and big band arrangements (including his far-out charts for Dizzy Gillespie) from the early-1960s. The music's great, although this collection merely scratches the surface of all the fine work he was doing at this time. Still, highly recommended.
