Le Shok

About

All the Hardcore kids are discovering Punk. Le Shok move in with an arty, damaged sound, spewing vile and venom with a seriously bad attitude. They're edgy and hard like the Locust, but snarling and snotty like the Stitches. The best of both worlds -- or are they the worst? Whichever you decide, Le Shok are guaranteed to keep you on your toes, and that's worth something. They're appealing in the same way San Francisco Punk legends the Screamers were, for they revel in being as loud and abrasive as possible. Seeing Le Shok live, you're lucky if you leave unaccosted, and you're even luckier if they finish an entire set. This volatility comes through in their music, which is wrought with tension. Turn it up too loud and you feel like your speakers will explode.
