The only consistent element to be found in San Francisco's J. Lesser's oeuvre, is electronic production. From track to track, his output is erratic. He makes short attention span leaps from Jungle breaks to falling shards of digital audio abstraction. His music is highly rhythmic, while mapping out untraceable time signatures. This allows beats to find their own trajectory while loops disintegrate and mutate of their own accord. During his most gentle moments, Lesser tracks never chill. They are fraught with the anxiety of waiting for an unpredictably violent outburst.
