Lindsay Lohan's debut album is a non-stop tour of what teenagers are into in 2004. From Avril-like pop rock to club-friendly dance jams and torch song balladry, Lohan nails every style with a singing voice that kind of dwarfs her competition. She even had a hand in writing some of these songs.

LP. With that as a launching point, Speak shuffles between drab adult pop and rock-disco
mush befitting Lohan's party-girl-next-door image. Lohan can work up a nice throaty wail,
but in the end Speak isn't more than a mannered cash-in; did it really take seven
songwriters and four producers to make one lousy track ("Disconnected")?
