Mack 10

This is a flashback to a brighter era for West Coast. The beats' thumping funk propped up do-or-die tales from Los Angeles trife life, while Mack's plainspoken baritone perfectly matches the production color. Lyrically, Mack mixes the inspirational ("The Testimony") with the vile ("Foe Life," "Hoo Bangin"). Aside from Mack 10, we also get a gaggle of great verses from some of the west's most legendary lyricists in their prime: Snoop pops by for the bombastic g-funk of "Only in California," Ice Cube is present throughout and Nate Dogg adds a chorus for "Like This."
