Madeleine Peyroux

Madeleine Peyroux rejoins the same team she worked with on her bestselling Careless Love. Highlights include the title track and "Blue Alert,"(covers from the neglected Anjani Thomas/Leonard Cohen collaboration of the same name) and a surprisingly moody saunter through "Everybody's Talkin'." It says something that Peyroux's originals can rest next to old standards, and modern classic by Cohen, Tom Waits and Joni Mitchell.
