Madonna

From any other artist, six (or three, depending on what you count) greatest hits albums might seem like hubris, or at least gratuitousness (especially when there's already an Immaculate Collection). But come on -- it's Madonna. Not only is she due for another GH thirty years into her career, but her Madgesty is perhaps best experienced like this, with her crown jewels all assembled before her (without the filler that can tarnish them). All the usual subjects are here and they sparkle together (even casting some luster on the slightly phoned-in new title track).

What? No "Hanky Panky"? Is this some kind of a joke? Given how obsessive her fans are, it's
