One of Windham Hill's more popular artists, Mark Isham is a heavyweight on both the contemporary instrumental and light jazz scenes. Predictably, it's these disciplines that inform his score for At First Sight, a film based on the essay "To See and Not to See" from neurologist Oliver Sacks' book An Anthropologist on Mars. For this intensely sincere story about love and blindness, Isham busts some touching piano melodies and atmospheric string work. He even covers Ella and Satchmo.
