Mark Knopfler

This is the live recording of 2006's most perfect musical partnership: Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris. It includes stirring performances from their recent All the Roadrunning release, and also features some of their best individual songs. Highlights include Emmylou's "Red Dirt Girl," Mark's "Romeo and Juliet" and their "All the Roadrunning" and "Red Staggerwing" collaborations.

repeats only five cuts from the studio album that the pair released earlier this year, tossing
in a couple of good songs each from their solo records. Sporting restrained vocals from
both and even more tasteful guitar from Knopfler, stuff like "Done With Bonaparte" and "Red
Dirt Girl" fight off adult-contempo preciousness and come out breezily pretty.
