Melvins

With help from bass and drum noise mongers Big Business, Dale Crover and King Buzzo manage to find a middle ground between their later, more experimental stuff and the salad days of straight up grunge (e.g. Houdini, Stoner Witch). The two drummers steal the show repeatedly amid some of the Melvins' most memorable hooks and easily digested songs in years. "Civilized Worm" will make you think it really is 1991 again, which is okay, just don't run out and buy any Seven Mary Three records.
