Mindi Abair

While the vocal numbers "Ordinary Love" and "It Must Be Love" (a fetching Rickie Lee Jones cover) recall Suzanne Vega or Jewel, on the rest of this CD, Mindi Abair gets back to her smooth jazz roots. The gritty "The Joint" and the ballad "Rain" (dedicated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina) are the standouts.
