Moby Grape

Legendary Grape, as its title suggests, is not a greatest hits package. Rather, it's the reissue of a sprawling 18-track reunion album originally recorded in 1989 and only released on cassette at the time. The cover claims visionary freak and founding member Alexander "Skip" Spence was a part of the band. The extent of Spence's involvement on this fine set of countrified bar-rock has been debated, although he did contribute the brilliant opener, a propulsive slab of Who-rock titled "All My Life."
