Rhapsody

A hollerin' preacherman introduces the duo's sixth record with fire and brimstone, but the aw-shucks smirk and easy Southern rock gate of "What Do You Think About That" defines the collection, even when it gets a bit reflective. Up-tempo radio singles like "I Pick My Parties" (a rollicking honky-tonk tune with a guest vocal from Toby Keith) and the flagship "Back When I Knew It All" feature Montgomery Gentry at their best: singing in (suspiciously) pitch-perfect harmonies and keeping the hooks as big as they are simple.
