About
Chicago aerobics instructor William Perry (aka Mr. C and the Slide Man) turned his aerobics routine into a regional dance hit when, in 2000, he joined forces with radio station WGCI/Chicago and set the routine to music. The station helped promote the new CD and instructional dance video, and a bona fide regional dance hit was born. Universal Records picked up on the phenomenon and agreed to distribute the album. In 2004, the label released a remixed version of the album, titled Cha Cha Slide Remixes.
