A veteran Queens emcee and member of the Lost Boyz, Mr. Cheeks is well known for his smooth flow and trademark raspy voice. After dropping four albums and scoring numerous hits ("Renee" and "Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimas and Benz") with the LBz, he went the solo route, releasing John P. Kelly in late 2001. Mixing upbeat party jams and autobiographical stories with love for his fallen comrade Freaky Tah, Cheeks still comes nice on the mic. The impressive production straddles the thin line between commercial and street.
