Muslimgauze (aka Bryn Jones) may be the foremost practitioner of abstract militant Arab agitprop, which is (roughly speaking) a polyglot sonic mesh of Jamaican dub, Middle-Eastern tape collage, British ambiance, American industrial and universal noise. Process is at the forefront, and the "songs" here are strictly analog and approximate found-sound recordings strewn over early technobeat. Alms for Iraq, one of Muslimgauze's 180 albums, seems noisier than most, and it should be noted that since Jones died in 1999, this is not a direct comment on the current Iraq conflict.
