Taking their cinematic, doomily romantic epic punk-pop to the next level, My Chemical Romance deliver a mix of the direct and the spastic on their second album. The music is immediate right out of the gate and retains an unrelenting momentum throughout. Song titles like "You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison" show a slight glimpse of humor.
