Before you start yelling "Ska Punk again?!" as if they're leftovers of liver and onions offered by your mother, note that My Superhero aren't just the same old jogging-in-place horn 'n' guitar frenzy. Although there's a fair amount of Punk here, it never races to the unbelievable speeds that push the boundaries of circus music, and My Superhero even round out the melodies with all the finesse of Power Pop craftsmen. Add a bouncing backdrop and Ska becomes the backbone of this music, even if it's obscured by all the foreground activity.
