Nappy Roots

Reminiscent of Outkast, Kentucky's Nappy Roots drop their second album with a deft mixture of worldly rhythms and working class anthems. Unlike their debut, Watermelon, Chicken and Gritz, Wooden Leather boasts a spit-polished production and yet it’s not too slick: this is ultra-cool, laid-back, Southern-fried rap.
