Nat King Cole

This set collects a number of superb singles and B-sides that Nat King Cole cut with Nelson Riddle, who was simultaneously crafting era-defining arrangements for Frank Sinatra. The classics here include the soon-to-be standard "That's All," plus "Too Young to Go Steady" (a tune John Coltrane adored) and Cy Coleman's "I'm Gonna Laugh You Out of My Life." While the set is ballad-heavy, Cole and Riddle get to swing on the delightful "I Just Found Out About Love" and show off their collective exotic streak on "To the Ends of the Earth."
