Natalie Cole kicks this one off by taking Fiona Apple's "Criminal" and putting some real funk bite into it. After that, she rocks Neil Young's "Old Man" harder than Young ever did and turns one of Shelby Lynne's best songs (the title track) into a blazing testimonial. Then, Cole blasts into the cosmos with Kate Bush's "Man with Child in His Eyes." The truth is that these once edgy songs now work as adult contemporary material.
