North Mississippi Allstars

Aside from the unending blues riffage, the most interesting element of this double-disc, chronological live compilation is how the North Mississippi Allstars have blossomed over the years, most apparent in Luther Dickinson's transformation from capable blues rock narrator to a ballsy howler ("Keep The Devil Down" sounds like ZZ Top on 'roids). The whole package might be a bit much for those who don't seriously have the blues, but it is a great career retrospective of a worthy heavyweight of the genre.
