Ever wonder what became of Zack de la Rocha? Rage Against the Machine broke up and even reunited before the fervent frontman ever got cozy on his own, but One Day as a Lion gets him finally raging without, um, Rage. Opening with the line "They say that in war that truth be the first casualty," de la Rocha doesn't stray far from the urgent rhetoric he made famous among restless '90s kids. Barking out rants in his signature blowhorn style, while partner in crime (former Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore) beats his angst into oblivion, One Day as a Lion is like a minimalist revival of Rage.
