Orchestra Baobab

It's hard to get tired of the African take on Caribbean music, which was itself a take on African music. It's just so darn fun. So when Orchestra Baobab releases a new (old) album, it's always cause for rejoicing. Listen to "Liiti Liiti" and you'll get the disconcerting feeling you're listening to early reggae -- in fact, the resemblance is so close, it may give us an idea where that lilting rhythm came from: Cuba , rather than American soul, as is commonly supposed. Never mind. Just enjoy it!
