Mel's daughter waxes white Christmas in this collection of holiday carols that are sure to warm your soul like a couple glasses of eggnog on a cold night. Sounding more like classic country than the Christmas albums of many of her Nashville contemporaries, she does manage to infuse bits of instrumentation indicative of the many other musical genres that she immersed herself in while growing up. The Spanish guitar on "Light of the World" is an especially nice touch.
