If you ever visit San Francisco, Berkeley or Los Angeles, you need to make a stop at Amoeba Records. It's the kind of place where even Paul McCartney likes to sneak in and put on a secret free concert. Done in support of Memory Almost Full, Macca and his young band rock out in a tough, no-nonsense fashion. The result is a recording that betters many of Paul's official live releases. The highlight is the crunching one-two roots rock punch of "That Was Me" and the Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There." Only complaint is that it's too short -- the dazzled crowd heard more songs than this.
