Paul Oakenfold

Oakenfold has been around long enough that any attempt at a greatest hits package will invariably upset somebody, but this one does at least a decent job of showing the breadth of his Rolodex, if not his entire resume. Most missed here are his brilliant early trance compositions as Virus, but less obsessive trainspotters will be perfectly happy with this selection of house remixes and original material, especially his work with Happy Mondays and Massive Attack and his sing-along Nilsson pastiche, "Starry Eyed Surprise."
