Unlike many DJs, PvD makes an effort to explore musical ideas outside his comfort zone of full-on, hands-in-the-air madness. While this is commendable, he's just so blindingly good at the madness bit that it's tempting to skip over the more thoughtful work and go straight for the adrenaline. So it is with this 2007 release: lots of great songs competently delivered, but mostly in the wistful "can't we just get along" vein, which is fine, but then on "Sabotage," "Far Away" and the excellent "Castaway" he lets it rip, and it's hard not to keep hitting repeat.
