PvD wrote this song (taken from his DJ mix The Politics of Dancing 2) in response to the 2004 tsunami that ravaged Southeast Asia. Featuring vocals from the Dostoyevskys' Wayne Jackson, it's as plaintive as you would expect, but van Dyk's skill at slipping between the doleful and the rapturous is such that you'll still want to leap onto the dance floor -- even if the subject matter requires something more respectful.
