On Yours, Mine and Ours, the Pernice Brothers swap past glories for a less opulent sound -- more Morrissey, less Zombies, if you will. What haven't changed are the timeless melodies that surround achingly crafted songs of love and longing. Being unlucky in love never sounded so appealing.

Singer-songwriter Joe Pernice knows how to write a unique, evocative lyric: Offering
