Phil Ochs

Unlike the timeless cover shot, Phil Ochs' 1964 debut has lost a little of its power over the years. While it is no longer as essential as it once was, this disc remains a vivid document of the early 1960s protest movement. "Talking Vietnam Blues" was released when 99% of the country supported the war and yet Ochs' saw through the government's lies immediately. "Power and the Glory" and "One More Parade" were major protest hits.
